luv, and steer clear of all this Well, we d like to, but I m afraid that s not possible Finn s eyes glittered like two fine emeralds as he stared the fae down You know the full extent of Raven s involvement with this prophecy You know, and you re going to share that knowledge with us Finn McPheePLOT Based on a prophecy, Raven s Kiss is an excellent adult urban fantasy that kept me guessing chapter after chapter The author did a good job of weaving mystery and a little romance together with a highly adventurous story thread The action and adventure lead the heroine, Raven, through some strange situations that had me very entertained and wantingwith each flip of the page The story flowed well for the most part but I did feel the dialogue weighed down the pace at times The one aspect of the story that I hard time believing was some of the things Raven would say to the hero, Finn In fact, there were a couple of times I had to step away from the story and come back to it later because of the way Raven handled herself However, this did not affect the strong beginning, middle and end that, from the start, pulled me into the thick of Raven s world where she is a Recovery Agent similar to our FBI Agent As in all urban fantasy the world building is the bases of the story and I have to say the author did a great job of creating a world that was unique in every sense And while the romance was not at the forefront of the story I did find the connection between Raven and her male interest, Finn a nice touch and a bit sensual to follow by the end It added a great flavor to the story and ultimately had me cheering for Raven when at times I wanted to reach out and teach her some manners I am happy to say though that she did grow into a character that I liked and hope to see in further books to come Contrary to many urban fantasy books, and to my satisfaction, the author wrapped up the story quite nicely without leaving us with a cliffhanger that would have left me months wondering what happened to Raven and Finn I am not one for endings that leave me guessing at all and for that alone I know I will be picking up Toni LoTempio s next book SETTING While not giving anything away I will say that the story takes place in Carolers Falls, but be careful, that one clue could be deceiving WRITING Ms LoTempio can write with a craftiness that proves she can tell a tale Her writing style affords such attention to detail that you know exactly what is going on around the main character even though the story is told in first person This is no easy task I assure you And even though this is a self published book, the editing was, for the most part, spot on with very limited mistakes throughout the entire book CHARACTERS Raven Grace is one character I almost ended up disliking completely After being attacked by a demon and left as a shapeshifter she adopts an attitude that is hard to get along with for the first half of the book On one hand you understand her single minded determination to rid the world of any evil doers, but it is hard to swallow at times and as I said above, had me stepping away from the book a few times If not for the secondary characters and the tight plot, Raven might have stopped me from continuing But, I also have to say that I wanted to see if she would grow beyond her hatred and I was not disappointed in the least While she is still snarky till the very end, a veil is lifted at the latter end of the book and I was able to get a good look at the girl that was left to fend for herself after her attack, the girl that was wounded and had to come to terms with being a shapeshifter or coli as she is referred to in the story By the end I liked the character she became and hope to seeof her in the next book As for her love interest, Finn had a muchpleasant attitude about himself and with his Scottish brogue I would have fallen him just as hard as Raven did I found his ability to see under Raven s veil and accept her for who she is as an admirable quality Most men wouldn t care to dig deep enough but Finn did, yet not without giving her a bit of his own alpha character first And the secondary characters is what added the depth to the story in my opinion Without giving anything away, I loved meeting all the two sided characters It took having multiple personalities and added a twist that gave the story it s fun and unique take on urban fantasy LAST THOUGHTS This fun and exciting tale is filled with a deadly prophecy, a heroine fighting against evil and a casting of characters that will have you entertained for hours I recommend Raven s Kiss to all lovers of Urban fantasy and even paranormal romance I hope to seeof Raven and her redheaded Scotsman in future installments of this series

Raven s Kiss is the first book in a new series called Raven Grace This is a good paranormal book that has a variety of paranormal creatures Raven is a 20 something year old college girl who has been bitten by a demon, which has turned her into a Shapeshifter She can shift into just about anything lots of things you ve probably never even heard of Despite her strong powers, Raven mourns being a mortal She is very bitter and angry about what has happened to her Her sole purpose now, is to g Raven s Kiss is the first book in a new series called Raven Grace This is a good paranormal book that has a variety of paranormal creatures Raven is a 20 something year old college girl who has been bitten by a demon, which has turned her into a Shapeshifter She can shift into just about anything lots of things you ve probably never even heard of Despite her strong powers, Raven mourns being a mortal She is very bitter and angry about what has happened to her Her sole purpose now, is to go after the demon who turned her She is a Recovery Organization agent which is like law enforcement for the paranormal world Raven works non stop to help keep her mind off her troubles, and to work off her pent up anger.Raven has a bit of an attitude problem, especially at the beginning of the book Even her coworkers file complaints about her It s only normal that she would be upset with her situation, but she tends to take her anger out on other people She will, however, grow on you throughout the book After being forced to take a vacation, Raven gets caught up in quite the adventure She meets a handsome man named Finn who helps her track down the demon There is a bit of a romance involved, but the book isadventurous than romantic.I don t want to spoil things too much, but there is a big characteristic of this book that makes it unlike other paranomal books I have read I didn t feel that I really connected with the main character though Also, I almost thought there was too much dialogue at times though I m not sure I ve ever said that about a book before I just think that a lot of the dialogue was filler material and too descriptive at times The flow of the book was a bit odd to me, but I can t really put my finger on why Of course, this is just my opinion and these things might be perfect in your opinion Overall, this was a pretty good adult paranormal book that includes a lot of mystery, fantasy, and adventure

luv, and steer clear of all this Well, we d like to, but I m afraid that s not possible Finn s eyes glittered like two fine emeralds as he stared the fae down You know the full extent of Raven s involvement with this prophecy You know, and you re going to share that knowledge with us Finn McPheePLOT Based on a prophecy, Raven s Kiss is an excellent adult urban fantasy that kept me guessing chapter after chapter The author did a good job of weaving mystery and a little romance together with a highly adventurous story thread The action and adventure lead the heroine, Raven, through some strange situations that had me very entertained and wantingwith each flip of the page The story flowed well for the most part but I did feel the dialogue weighed down the pace at times The one aspect of the story that I hard time believing was some of the things Raven would say to the hero, Finn In fact, there were a couple of times I had to step away from the story and come back to it later because of the way Raven handled herself However, this did not affect the strong beginning, middle and end that, from the start, pulled me into the thick of Raven s world where she is a Recovery Agent similar to our FBI Agent As in all urban fantasy the world building is the bases of the story and I have to say the author did a great job of creating a world that was unique in every sense And while the romance was not at the forefront of the story I did find the connection between Raven and her male interest, Finn a nice touch and a bit sensual to follow by the end It added a great flavor to the story and ultimately had me cheering for Raven when at times I wanted to reach out and teach her some manners I am happy to say though that she did grow into a character that I liked and hope to see in further books to come Contrary to many urban fantasy books, and to my satisfaction, the author wrapped up the story quite nicely without leaving us with a cliffhanger that would have left me months wondering what happened to Raven and Finn I am not one for endings that leave me guessing at all and for that alone I know I will be picking up Toni LoTempio s next book SETTING While not giving anything away I will say that the story takes place in Carolers Falls, but be careful, that one clue could be deceiving WRITING Ms LoTempio can write with a craftiness that proves she can tell a tale Her writing style affords such attention to detail that you know exactly what is going on around the main character even though the story is told in first person This is no easy task I assure you And even though this is a self published book, the editing was, for the most part, spot on with very limited mistakes throughout the entire book CHARACTERS Raven Grace is one character I almost ended up disliking completely After being attacked by a demon and left as a shapeshifter she adopts an attitude that is hard to get along with for the first half of the book On one hand you understand her single minded determination to rid the world of any evil doers, but it is hard to swallow at times and as I said above, had me stepping away from the book a few times If not for the secondary characters and the tight plot, Raven might have stopped me from continuing But, I also have to say that I wanted to see if she would grow beyond her hatred and I was not disappointed in the least While she is still snarky till the very end, a veil is lifted at the latter end of the book and I was able to get a good look at the girl that was left to fend for herself after her attack, the girl that was wounded and had to come to terms with being a shapeshifter or coli as she is referred to in the story By the end I liked the character she became and hope to seeof her in the next book As for her love interest, Finn had a muchpleasant attitude about himself and with his Scottish brogue I would have fallen him just as hard as Raven did I found his ability to see under Raven s veil and accept her for who she is as an admirable quality Most men wouldn t care to dig deep enough but Finn did, yet not without giving her a bit of his own alpha character first And the secondary characters is what added the depth to the story in my opinion Without giving anything away, I loved meeting all the two sided characters It took having multiple personalities and added a twist that gave the story it s fun and unique take on urban fantasy LAST THOUGHTS This fun and exciting tale is filled with a deadly prophecy, a heroine fighting against evil and a casting of characters that will have you entertained for hours I recommend Raven s Kiss to all lovers of Urban fantasy and even paranormal romance I hope to seeof Raven and her redheaded Scotsman in future installments of this series

it took me a little while to get into the story as it does start off quite slow, setting the scene and introducing all the characters, it also took me a little while to get to grips with who was who However, after all of that I really enjoyed the story and I loved the idea of having a parallel universe that was only slightly different to the one Raven was currently living in The demon who Raven is trying to capture and bring to justice is cap it took me a little while to get into the story as it does start off quite slow, setting the scene and introducing all the characters, it also took me a little while to get to grips with who was who However, after all of that I really enjoyed the story and I loved the idea of having a parallel universe that was only slightly different to the one Raven was currently living in The demon who Raven is trying to capture and bring to justice is capable of crossing back and forth to either dimension, but it is farcomplicated for a human, but as luck would have it Raven was in the right place at the right time When Raven crosses over she finds Finn, a hunky Scottish man who is also tracking the same crimes in his world I really enjoyed the chemistry between Raven and Finn, which developed and was heightened by the constant danger of the demon I both loved and hated that Finn was Scottish, mostly because I am Scottish myself so I found that there were quite a few flaws in his stereotype and what he said, it just didn t all fit together perfectly However, having said that there are definitely not enough red haired, burly Scottish men with an endearing sensitive side and a body to drool over as the main leads in romance novels He was certainly an interesting character I really enjoyed Raven s Kiss and although the book wasn t perfect, it was well written and polished I also really liked a lot of the minor characters as well as the main ones , and I did love that some characters had completely different personalities from one world to the next, which made the cast that Toni had created eveninteresting This is well and truly a romance first with loads of extra sub plots all intertwined to keep you glued to the page, the one thing I will say is that this wasn t as steamy a read as you might expect from the cover With this type of book you can often guess the ending as well as the middle and beginning of the story, however, there are definitely a few surprises in Raven s Kiss to keep you reading until the very ending The end was done really well and everything was wrapped up, but there was certainly scope left for a sequel I would happily recommend this book, it was an easy and entertaining read I will definitely be looking out forof Toni LoTempio s work in the future
