    A simple yet refreshing love story that left me wantingat the end I would love to see what happens between Cool Denise but I guess that s another story for another novel It s been a while since I ve read a romantic novel that was able to keep a nostalgic like smile on my face There were some moments where things felt forced or something corny was said but overall, I enjoyed the storyline.The theory of B Sides remixes make a lot of sense and it s a shame that most of us really aren t A simple yet refreshing love story that left me wantingat the end I would love to see what happens between Cool Denise but I guess that s another story for another novel It s been a while since I ve read a romantic novel that was able to keep a nostalgic like smile on my face There were some moments where things felt forced or something corny was said but overall, I enjoyed the storyline.The theory of B Sides remixes make a lot of sense and it s a shame that most of us really aren t learning who it is we call ourselves dating In a way, our A Sides prove to be a catch 22 because most of us omit the entire truth for fear of losing out in the beginning but our logic backfires and end up losing in the end, unless you ve found someone with patience enough to work with and through your nuances.If you re looking for an enjoyable read, this is it I ll definitely be checking out other novels by Ran Walker

    Ironically, I ended up checking this out from the library which isn t a bad thing It s just not something that I tend to find attractive in romantic ish novels or stories I Ironically, I ended up checking this out from the library also starting on High Fidelity starring Zoe Kravitz at the same time Sadly, I think that may have ruined my experience with this novel I wanted to enjoy it, but something just felt off for me I love romances and love reading about the connection or lack between characters The entire story is told from Cool s POV which isn t a bad thing It s just not something that I tend to find attractive in romantic ish novels or stories I will say though, that Walker does have a smooth writing style and the overall premise and execution of this quick read was well done however, it just wasn t my type of book

    Songs in the Key of LifeThis book was referred to me by my sister, she picked a good one Cool is co owner to a record store in Harlem To get their name out, Cool is chosen as a most eligible bachelor Then he is chosen to do a blog about dating three ladies that the magazine ha chosen I enjoyed hearing a black man s perspective on women, dating and relationships Well written, great character development This book left me wanting .
