From Charles Dougherty on February 10, 2015This is a great tale, well told It s tough to do justice to the novelty of the plot without spoiling it, so I ll just say it s original and let it go at that The story is told in a masterful fashion, filled with suspense, humor, and plenty of small town irony. The author says in the Foreword that he s never robbed a bank, but I m not so sure about that The level of detail in this book is one of the things that sets it apart He may not have done it, From Charles Dougherty on February 10, 2015This is a great tale, well told It s tough to do justice to the novelty of the plot without spoiling it, so I ll just say it s original and let it go at that The story is told in a masterful fashion, filled with suspense, humor, and plenty of small town irony. The author says in the Foreword that he s never robbed a bank, but I m not so sure about that The level of detail in this book is one of the things that sets it apart He may not have done it, but he put a lot of thought into how to do it, and that s what makes the story.Don t take my word for it Buy yourself a copy right now and read it You ll be glad you did From Lil Hunkele on February 24, 2015I received the book on Friday afternoon and finished it Sunday morning It was hard to put down I m not so sure a real bank was not robbed after reading this book Such detail in the planning It has some twists and turns and the ending is very interesting but I don t want to give it away Living in NW PA, the scenery and seasons sound very familiar and of course, our river Well written, keeps your interest, and the fact that the author has mastered many interests and vocations certainly helps with his descriptions Saves on a lot of research I think his next book should be about his interesting life I know he has lots of stories and would not have to make anything up But then, maybe, he didn t From Skye J Heltzel on March 12, 2015I am generally a fan of true crime and romantic, but not cheesy, genres so this book seemed like it could be a nice mix of the two I was correct in judging this book by its title The book is well written and the author seems to have incorporated his vast knowledge of varying hobbies in to this book There were no loose ends and it made for a concise and satisfying read. The only reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because I was bored with some of the intense detail in the planning portions, but others may enjoy that much detail.Overall it is a worthy use of your time and you won t regret reading it From Mike Borum on February 21, 2015I loved the playful and persistent humor, the engaging, complex plot and charming characters. It was difficult to quit reading, no matter the hour, so I dozed off a few times, dropping my iPad only to awake and determinedly read the page over again It was well worth the effort Can you tell that I thoroughly enjoyed this story I recommend it to anyone who relishes well crafted prose and enjoys a fun, lighthearted but also serious, adventure I say serious, because the author s obvious knowledge of bank security systems and how to robbery advice is quite astonishing Leaves one wondering, doesn t it Comment Was this review helpful to you Yes NoGreat read From Rich on February 18, 2015If you are looking for extreme violence, raw sex, and or unbridled fantasy this is not the book you want If you are looking for a totally entertaining, well thought out, well written, thriller that will keep you involved from start to finish this is it From Donna M Miles How to Rob a Bank is a fun book to read The characters are engaging and I found myself wanting to knowabout them and how things would turn out for them This book has romance, mystery and suspense I highly recommend it
