    So at first this book seamed like a great resource for my doctor prescribed Mediterranean Diet needs, but as I got deeper into it, I m afraid this book was miss titled maybe due to current food trends This book includes recipes w white rice, enriched pasta, and butter They all look tasty, but not what Registered Dietitians count as part of this lifestyle Also, much of the book is about detoxes including fasting, which I understand are not medically recommend for reasonably healthy folks Beau So at first this book seamed like a great resource for my doctor prescribed Mediterranean Diet needs, but as I got deeper into it, I m afraid this book was miss titled maybe due to current food trends This book includes recipes w white rice, enriched pasta, and butter They all look tasty, but not what Registered Dietitians count as part of this lifestyle Also, much of the book is about detoxes including fasting, which I understand are not medically recommend for reasonably healthy folks Beautiful photos, fun ingredients, but not a health guide for me

    I often wondered what truly made the Mediterranean diet so healthy, I can understand now into Chapter 2 of Wild Mediterranean that it s probably because this diet is good for gut health What I love about the book is how many links were provided to studies throughout the chapters I try to stay away from Google University and like it when an author uses material to back their point of view The only negative is that I wish there wererecipes

    I enjoyed reading the ideas behind this diet It mixes well with some other books I am currently reading Some good recipes, especially if you re vegetarian There are still a few good meat recipes I totally agree with the supplement ideas in this book Our diets are not ideal for our bodies and we need supplements in order to make up for the lack of variety and depleted soils.
