    Karen Rock does a fantastic job of portraying her character s feelings with vivid imagery that completely sings to my soul I ve read this series from the start and have loved getting to know individual characters in an intimate way Everyone has a story and it s so much fun to discover each member of these feuding families, as they all seem to be old friends.Speaking of the feud, I don t know that any family has had such a long standing hatred with another since the Hatfield s and McCoy s As t Karen Rock does a fantastic job of portraying her character s feelings with vivid imagery that completely sings to my soul I ve read this series from the start and have loved getting to know individual characters in an intimate way Everyone has a story and it s so much fun to discover each member of these feuding families, as they all seem to be old friends.Speaking of the feud, I don t know that any family has had such a long standing hatred with another since the Hatfield s and McCoy s As the layers are slowly unraveled throughout the series, the heart of the matter is revealed and there are still residual effects to deal with.I thoroughly enjoyed the small town, cowboy feel to the story and loved the grit and determination of both Heath and Jewel, as they work hard to prove themselves and to follow their individual dreams Jewel is rough and tough, with the soft center She has issues to work through, as does Heath, who is strong, handsome, and talented I could just picture him crooning Folsom Prison Blues in his gravelly voice and actually had to go listen to it for awhile, while I read.The chemistry simmers from the start and the gradual release was well worth the wait I think this one is my favorite of the set so far I loved every juicy minute of this book and I can t wait for .Content very mild language mild romance kissing I received a complimentary copy All opinions expressed are my own and were voluntarily given

    I was so waiting for Jewel and Heath s story Jewel was such a scrapper in all the other books, and I thoroughly enjoyed her grit I didn t know as much about Heath, except his love of music and he was a Loveland This definitely gives you details of both main characters, how their pasts formed them and what they re made of now Emotions run front and center with some surprising turn of events and soul searching I enjoyed the appearances of all the Cade s and Loveland s throughout this journey, I was so waiting for Jewel and Heath s story Jewel was such a scrapper in all the other books, and I thoroughly enjoyed her grit I didn t know as much about Heath, except his love of music and he was a Loveland This definitely gives you details of both main characters, how their pasts formed them and what they re made of now Emotions run front and center with some surprising turn of events and soul searching I enjoyed the appearances of all the Cade s and Loveland s throughout this journey, which could be a joyous occasion or Not so much, lol, and did keep things very interesting A good read that can stand alone, but is a part of a series that is really worth reading for the whole background of Cora s Tear that caused a 130 year old feud There sto come which I also look forward to I won Squeee a Signed ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review

    What a great story This book is part of a series, yet I had no trouble jumping in and understanding some of the backstory between the two main families that was established in previous novels.I really liked Heath and Jewel and wanted things to work out for them They had such great chemistry and even as they tried to avoid their attraction to each other, it always ended up pulling them together Heath s inability to cut things off with his longtime girlfriend fianc e had me shaking my head for a What a great story This book is part of a series, yet I had no trouble jumping in and understanding some of the backstory between the two main families that was established in previous novels.I really liked Heath and Jewel and wanted things to work out for them They had such great chemistry and even as they tried to avoid their attraction to each other, it always ended up pulling them together Heath s inability to cut things off with his longtime girlfriend fianc e had me shaking my head for a good portion of the book This woman was so obviously wrong for him and not a nice person I was glad when Heath finally figured out how to stand up for himself, instead of trying to keep everyone happy.I really liked this story and hope to read future books in this series 4.5 stars I received a complimentary copy of this book All opinions are my own.You can read this review on my blog

    Winning the Cowboy s Heart is a Romeo and Juliet style cowboy romance If you have been following the Rocky Mountain cowboys series, you know that the Lovelands and Cades have been involved in a centuries long dispute think The Hatfields McCoys Now, things are changing In the previous book and recapped in this one , we learn that the events that started the disputes were based on incorrect information and that the families have been feuding over a misunderstanding Their families have als Winning the Cowboy s Heart is a Romeo and Juliet style cowboy romance If you have been following the Rocky Mountain cowboys series, you know that the Lovelands and Cades have been involved in a centuries long dispute think The Hatfields McCoys Now, things are changing In the previous book and recapped in this one , we learn that the events that started the disputes were based on incorrect information and that the families have been feuding over a misunderstanding Their families have also reluctantly joined on the children s parts when Joy Cade and Boyd Loveland got married.As Joy and Boyd head out on their honeymoon, they are facing problems at the Lovelands ranch Ever since the easement to the river was revoked from the Lovelands, ranching has been difficult They have filed a lawsuit for damages against the Cades, but in the meantime, they are struggling to keep their ranch afloat To avoid Joy and Boyd cancelling their honeymoon, Jewel Cade reluctantly agrees to help Heath Loveland and the rest of the Loveland clan with their cattle for the summer, until Cole s arm heals and or Boyd returns Jewel has been suffering from extreme sexism across the board She isthan capable to be the Cade range boss, but her brother stubbornly denies it and makes her jump through hoops He has said he d make his decision by summer s end She s also coming up against it with the general community and has been forced onto the committee of women to plan a flowery gala Jewel struggles to be accepted and valued for who she is and not discounted because of her gender.Heath loves his music and performing at gigs He knows he will soon have to give it up, when he marries his high school girlfriend, Kelsey Once they get married, he will take over her father s business and knows he will have to fit the mold she has created for him They have been together for so long, sometimes he is not even sure what he sees in her Told in alternating points of view as Jewel and Heath spend a lot of time together, we watch their relationship and attraction grow They are fighting not only their own life desires goals, but also their family rivalry when they consider being together A big theme of the book is also finding yourself and defining who you want to be outside of any relationships before letting a significant other compliment your lifeFalling in love isn t really falling, it slike two people bending until they meet in the middle Overall, I really enjoyed this installment into the Rocky Mountain Cowboys series Heath and Jewel were a great, complimentary couple I do wishof the sexism against Jewel had been dealt with in a harder manner, but she does make personal gains and learnabout past situations that help her to heal Regardless, she s a strong and brilliant woman, and she deserves bosses and a man if she wants one who respect her I love how she knows that and keeps her eyes on her goals Heath also goes through a lot of healing and self recognition that bring some extra elements of growth to the story Together, they are an amazing couple Notably, as a heartwarming book, you won t findthan a kiss in the book but boy, were there some kisses in this book I highly recommend for people who like cowboy romances this is a great stand alone installment in a really fun series.Please note that I received an ARC from the author All opinions are my own

    Reviewed at The Power of Words the Cowboy s Heart is an excellent story, as is the whole Rocky Mountain Cowboys series It s well written, highly entertaining, almost impossible to put down, engages the emotions, and is clean Each story stands alone, but I recommend reading the whole series for the most benefit Whichever book I m reading at the time seems like my favorite, but there s something special about Heath and Jewel s story.Karen Rock has created a memora Reviewed at The Power of Words the Cowboy s Heart is an excellent story, as is the whole Rocky Mountain Cowboys series It s well written, highly entertaining, almost impossible to put down, engages the emotions, and is clean Each story stands alone, but I recommend reading the whole series for the most benefit Whichever book I m reading at the time seems like my favorite, but there s something special about Heath and Jewel s story.Karen Rock has created a memorable cast of characters in the Cade and Loveland families two families who work hard, care about each other and the community, but are enemies because of a long standing feud That enmity weakened ever so slightly with the marriage of two senior family members in a previous story, then a littlewhen the feud s origins proved false, but still remained firmly in place when Jewel Cade began helping the Lovelands on a cattle drive Jewel and Heath are engaging, well developed, and relatable characters To Heath s thinking, Jewel preferred horses to people and was as approachable as a cactus but that hard edge soon reveals a softer side I quickly connected with Heath s musical ability, but wanted to shake some sense into him for always trying to please others instead of following his heart In the words of his sister, Sierra, He s so used to making others happy and playing the role of knight in shining armor that he doesn t know how to save himself Woven throughout this story is the off the charts chemistry between Heath and Jewel, with some kissing scenes guaranteed to leave you weak at the knees, but there s also tons of atmosphere, character depth and relational drama I loved how Jewel and Heath cared for their cattle and learned interesting things from Jewel s knowledge, such as the benefits of freeze branding in order to reduce stress And a cattle drive scene during a rain storm will hold you spellbound Both Jewel and Heath had to learn not to let other people control how they felt about themselves, something we can all easily relate to And the Cade Loveland feud reminds of how natural it is to hold a grudge, even when the basis for it is proven to be false I also thought Sofia spoke truth about love when she told Jewel Falling in love isn t really falling, it slike two people bending until they meet in the middle I don t think I ll ever tire of this series and hope forstories to come Highly recommended.I received a copy of this book through Prism Book Tours The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own

    Winning the Cowboy s Heart is a Romeo and Juliet style cowboy romance If you have been following the Rocky Mountain cowboys series, you know that the Lovelands and Cades have been involved in a centuries long dispute think The Hatfields McCoys Now, things are changing In the previous book and recapped in this one , we learn that the events that started the disputes were based on incorrect information and that the families have been feuding over a misunderstanding Their families have als Winning the Cowboy s Heart is a Romeo and Juliet style cowboy romance If you have been following the Rocky Mountain cowboys series, you know that the Lovelands and Cades have been involved in a centuries long dispute think The Hatfields McCoys Now, things are changing In the previous book and recapped in this one , we learn that the events that started the disputes were based on incorrect information and that the families have been feuding over a misunderstanding Their families have also reluctantly joined on the children s parts when Joy Cade and Boyd Loveland got married.As Joy and Boyd head out on their honeymoon, they are facing problems at the Lovelands ranch Ever since the easement to the river was revoked from the Lovelands, ranching has been difficult They have filed a lawsuit for damages against the Cades, but in the meantime, they are struggling to keep their ranch afloat To avoid Joy and Boyd cancelling their honeymoon, Jewel Cade reluctantly agrees to help Heath Loveland and the rest of the Loveland clan with their cattle for the summer, until Cole s arm heals and or Boyd returns Jewel has been suffering from extreme sexism across the board She isthan capable to be the Cade range boss, but her brother stubbornly denies it and makes her jump through hoops He has said he d make his decision by summer s end She s also coming up against it with the general community and has been forced onto the committee of women to plan a flowery gala Jewel struggles to be accepted and valued for who she is and not discounted because of her gender.Heath loves his music and performing at gigs He knows he will soon have to give it up, when he marries his high school girlfriend, Kelsey Once they get married, he will take over her father s business and knows he will have to fit the mold she has created for him They have been together for so long, sometimes he is not even sure what he sees in her Told in alternating points of view as Jewel and Heath spend a lot of time together, we watch their relationship and attraction grow They are fighting not only their own life desires goals, but also their family rivalry when they consider being together A big theme of the book is also finding yourself and defining who you want to be outside of any relationships before letting a significant other compliment your lifeFalling in love isn t really falling, it slike two people bending until they meet in the middle Overall, I really enjoyed this installment into the Rocky Mountain Cowboys series Heath and Jewel were a great, complimentary couple I do wishof the sexism against Jewel had been dealt with in a harder manner, but she does make personal gains and learnabout past situations that help her to heal Regardless, she s a strong and brilliant woman, and she deserves bosses and a man if she wants one who respect her I love how she knows that and keeps her eyes on her goals Heath also goes through a lot of healing and self recognition that bring some extra elements of growth to the story Together, they are an amazing couple Notably, as a heartwarming book, you won t findthan a kiss in the book but boy, were there some kisses in this book I highly recommend for people who like cowboy romances this is a great stand alone installment in a really fun series.Please note that I received an ARC from the author All opinions are my own

    Reviewed at The Power of Words the Cowboy s Heart is an excellent story, as is the whole Rocky Mountain Cowboys series It s well written, highly entertaining, almost impossible to put down, engages the emotions, and is clean Each story stands alone, but I recommend reading the whole series for the most benefit Whichever book I m reading at the time seems like my favorite, but there s something special about Heath and Jewel s story.Karen Rock has created a memora Reviewed at The Power of Words the Cowboy s Heart is an excellent story, as is the whole Rocky Mountain Cowboys series It s well written, highly entertaining, almost impossible to put down, engages the emotions, and is clean Each story stands alone, but I recommend reading the whole series for the most benefit Whichever book I m reading at the time seems like my favorite, but there s something special about Heath and Jewel s story.Karen Rock has created a memorable cast of characters in the Cade and Loveland families two families who work hard, care about each other and the community, but are enemies because of a long standing feud That enmity weakened ever so slightly with the marriage of two senior family members in a previous story, then a littlewhen the feud s origins proved false, but still remained firmly in place when Jewel Cade began helping the Lovelands on a cattle drive Jewel and Heath are engaging, well developed, and relatable characters To Heath s thinking, Jewel preferred horses to people and was as approachable as a cactus but that hard edge soon reveals a softer side I quickly connected with Heath s musical ability, but wanted to shake some sense into him for always trying to please others instead of following his heart In the words of his sister, Sierra, He s so used to making others happy and playing the role of knight in shining armor that he doesn t know how to save himself Woven throughout this story is the off the charts chemistry between Heath and Jewel, with some kissing scenes guaranteed to leave you weak at the knees, but there s also tons of atmosphere, character depth and relational drama I loved how Jewel and Heath cared for their cattle and learned interesting things from Jewel s knowledge, such as the benefits of freeze branding in order to reduce stress And a cattle drive scene during a rain storm will hold you spellbound Both Jewel and Heath had to learn not to let other people control how they felt about themselves, something we can all easily relate to And the Cade Loveland feud reminds of how natural it is to hold a grudge, even when the basis for it is proven to be false I also thought Sofia spoke truth about love when she told Jewel Falling in love isn t really falling, it slike two people bending until they meet in the middle I don t think I ll ever tire of this series and hope forstories to come Highly recommended.I received a copy of this book through Prism Book Tours The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own
