    I do not know why Gramp Wiggins mysteries didn t catch up as much as Mason Mysteries They are funny in parts, less serious and fun cases Wiggins himself is an endearing old man This one was very similar to another Mason Mystery I have read so I rushed through it mostly Even then, I enjoyed it.

    I read this book by accident the title format, the case of is the same as the Perry Mason books, and I found this book in my library and realized I had not read it So, I began reading after 40 or 50 pages I began to wonder where Perry Mason was later I realized this was a series of books I was unfamiliar with It was a good read I enjoyed the irascible character of Gramp Wiggens He has a number of great characteristics he is staunchly independent, he was lots of far flung I read this book by accident the title format, the case of is the same as the Perry Mason books, and I found this book in my library and realized I had not read it So, I began reading after 40 or 50 pages I began to wonder where Perry Mason was later I realized this was a series of books I was unfamiliar with It was a good read I enjoyed the irascible character of Gramp Wiggens He has a number of great characteristics he is staunchly independent, he was lots of far flung friends with interesting backgrounds, he is a normal friendly kind of guy and gets people to talk to him, he is a great cook, and mixes strong and delicious drinks But above all else, he is an avid reader of mysteries His knowledge of seamanship, the be behavior of a ship at anchor with the rising and falling tide provides the essential clue Great read
